In a school in Vista the school is giving snacks to the kids for the weekend. It’s part of a food program that helps homeless family’s over the weekend. Some kids race to school to get their breakfast, and some people also get hurt. They are that desperate to get food. There are some kids that have no food and they sleep hungry.
The food is running out to give the students, there are more students than food. Seventy percent of the people that can get food stamps, don’t get them. Barack Obama grew up living on food stamps.
Homeless people play instruments to earn money. Thomas got kicked out of his house for smoking, and he had a dream of being a guitar player. He made songs about being homeless, but he doesn’t know how he can do that when he is homeless.
Happily Thomas is about to receive money from his mother, but it won’t make him rich it will just be enough money to buy him the things he needs, and rent him space at a trailer park.
